|Product Design Engineer II - Mechanical
Conducts engineering activities related to product design issues such as drawing, engineering specification, engineering cost, development timing, and testing for appropriate projects. Handles supplier design issues to expedite items such as problem solution, engineering review and analysis, engineering changes, and timing. Provides engineering assistance for ISUZU related companies and Departments.
Requires a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience including a minimum 3 years’ experience in automotive product design engineering. Knowledge of development process of automotive parts, automotive parts knowledge for material (metal, plastic, textile), production process, requirement, test method, regulation, and development process. Familiar with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard and Society of Automotive Engineers/American Standard Test Method. Experience with CAD/CAM and PC computer system usage and maintenance. Strong analytical skills with ability to sketch and read drawings. Proficiency of PC word processing and spreadsheet applications. Good verbal and written communication skills. Employee must be able to perform occasional light lifting (5-25lbs) and rare heavy lifting (60 lbs.). Also, must be able on rare occasions to bend, crawl, climb, crouch, kneel and reach above shoulder level in the performance of job duties.
