Sr. Applications and Sales Engineer

Supports the sales department and product engineering requests in the proper selection, procurement or design, analysis, and release of the base engine and value added engine systems including, but not limited to, cooling packages, air intake systems, exhaust systems, controls systems, wire harnesses, mounting systems, and all associated hardware. Reports schedules and maintains budgets related to testing, travel, tools, and software to support validation testing (internal and in field). Creates and implements strategies, training, and reporting requirements to improve and develop ISZA's distributor engineering capabilities. Assists with the design, prototype parts procurement/fabrication and testing of components that make up accessory kits, engine power units, wiring harnesses and control systems. Reports schedules and monitors budgets for all assigned accessory kit and power unit testing projects. Leads staff for fabrication, assembly and test of accessory kits and power units. Performs diesel engine testing and installation review procedures to verify and document appropriate processes, designs, and performance inside acceptable criteria.

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or comparable discipline combined with experience in engine applications in the off-highway field. Minimum five years of experience with an engine manufacturer, engine distributor, or related field, including project coordination experience; three years of which as an engine application engineer. Minimum one year of project or team lead experience within an engine manufacturer or closely related discipline. Diesel engine installation; application engineering for full electronic engines and exhaust gas after treatment. Current and planned US EPA regulations and implementation schedules for off-highway diesel engines. Mechanical and physical properties of mobile construction. Engine electronics: OBD II, SAE J1939, and CAN BUS protocol. Knowledge of engineering disciplines: material properties, fluid dynamics, statics, heat transfer, thermodynamics, and vibration analysis. Advanced PC skills in Windows applications (database, graphics, presentation, spreadsheet and word-processing). Excellent written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle, track, and report on multiple projects simultaneously. INCA, engine control module calibration, data logging, and analysis skills. Diadem or similar vibration recording and analysis software skills. The employee must be able to access, enter, and retrieve data using a computer and engineering test equipment. Position will spend approximately half time in a controlled office environment which requires only occasional reaching, stooping, and lifting of office files, reports or records, typically weighing 5 lbs. or less. Rare instances requiring lifting of light objects (5 to 25 lbs.). The employee must also be able to work in a lab and/or outdoor environment, requiring use of hand tools and equipment while standing for extended periods of time. Position requires overnight travel, up to 50% time. Occasional international travel also required.

Manager, Supply Chain - PT

Responsible for organization, management, goals, and implementation of Supply Chain Management (SCM) sales order processing, and engine order procurement/forecasting/tracking activities. Position is also responsible for inventory management, product delivery cycle, and overall customer service. Interacts with finance, MIS, customs, and logistics within Isuzu as well as counterparts in Isuzu Motors Limited (Japan). Manages supply, warehousing, inventory and distribution of engine and engine related components consistent with corporate policy, ensuring overall operating efficiency and customer satisfaction. Oversees all business related issues with Isuzu suppliers to include costs, assembly processes and delivery. Processes engine ordering activities to include Sales, Production, Inventory (SPI) related reporting content. Periodic involvement with the finance department to facilitate business related audits. Manages, trains and mentors SCM staff. Provides op0erational support and guidance to ensure maximum productivity. Provides periodic reporting on departmental status and activities to include production status, supplier issues and/or system issues, personnel, and organization of the SCM team. Creates SCM strategies that increase efficiency and speed to include collaboration with other departments and to identify vulnerabilities and close operational gaps with a focus on cost management and business growth. Plans and manages supply chain department budget and expense according to the plan and actual. Responsible for audit oversight activity. Oversees reporting specific to customs and emissions compliance with respect to processes and reporting.

Bachelor's degree required; in supply chain or international business preferred. Minimum five years' experience with engine sales, distributor, or supplier in an industrial or automotive field preferred. Minimum three years in a supervisory or managerial role in a supply chain area. Understanding of distributor and OEM companies business processes, flow, and operations. Working knowledge of distribution, logistics, and international regulations. Strategic sourcing and supplier relationship knowledge. Basic knowledge of engine, engine related components, and power unit/kit assembly processes. Understanding of SCM systems, warehouse & transportation management, control methods, tools, and processes. General knowledge of employment law, performance management, and employee development. Proficient PC skills in Windows applications. Proficient ERP skillset, SAP preferred with working knowledge in ATP, P2P, APO, VELO modules. Excellent written and verbal communication skills including customer relationship management. Strong analytical, decision making, and good organizational/proactive skills. Strong project management skills and ability to adapt to dynamic business environments. Ability to understand financial statements, cost accounting, understanding of cross cultural and/or global business. Ability to lead, train, and mentor employees on a personal level. The employee must be able to access, enter, and retrieve data using a computer. Test Engineer

Analyzes engine and vehicle testing to validate and certify production projects for North American applications. Applies engineering principles to improve the overall effectiveness and resource utilization of the PVRD test lab. Troubleshoots problems and develops solutions to meet complex testing requirements. Analyzes diesel engine calibration and emission certification testing on engine and chassis dynamometer test stands to ensure the quality of data generated meets customer requirements. Implements new test systems and measurement equipment into test cells. Investigates new technologies and suppliers to improve overall testing efficiency and effectiveness. Troubleshoots data quality and data acquisition issues and develops solutions or identifies vendors to supply solutions to encountered problems. Creates new and improves existing key processes and procedures related to KPI (key performance indicator) goals. Works with outside contractors and engineering facilities supplying services to our organization. Supports off site testing activities as required. Evaluates new regulatory requirements and their impact on test procedures. Attends conferences and training classes related to test systems, measurement equipment, and data acquisition software. Supports instrumentation and data acquisition tasks for vehicle based testing programs.

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. Minimum three years of experience with engine or vehicle testing. Minimum three years of experience with test automation equipment, emission benches, fuel and air flow measurement devices, and engine / powertrain control modules. Diesel or gasoline engine calibration experience preferred. Detailed understanding of principles of internal combustion engines and diesel exhaust after-treatment systems. Familiarity with federal regulations regarding engine testing procedures (40 CFR Part 1065/1066). Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Previous experience with measurement and analysis software, such as Matlab, LabView, UniPlot, and INCA. Effective oral and written communication skills, and interpersonal skills to work effectively with customers and technicians. The employee must be able to access, enter, and retrieve data using a computer. At times this is a sedentary position in a controlled lab environment which requires only occasional reaching, stooping, and lifting of items weighing 5 lbs. or less. At other times this position requires frequent bending, reaching, crouching, kneeling, pushing/pulling, standing, walking, and lifting of 25-60 lbs. and heavy lifting on rare occasions.
