Manager, District Service & Parts

Promotes the sale and marketing of Isuzu service and parts to meet dealer and corporate objectives. This includes but is not limited to working with dealers service departments, independent repair shops (IRS), and fleet accounts. Develops marketing strategies with dealers to increase potential parts sales and encourages usage of parts and service co-op to develop strategies. Supports the lifecycle business process by routinely reviewing dealership's service process flow management, technical and management abilities, service intake objectives, vehicle uptime priorities, KPIs, etc. Recommends and reviews appropriate actions to improve areas of concern with dealership executive and service management. Works jointly with Lifecycle Business Manager during in depth review process. Builds customer satisfaction by working on vehicle uptime priority and general customer satisfaction cooperatively with dealer staff, local IRS, and fleet operators. This includes but is not limited to actively engaging Vehicle Down Report (VDR) or similar processes, customer assistance (CAS) needs, and general requirements from dealers and customers. Provides administrative and review functions required by dealership, region, and corporate, related to dealer contact reports, warranty processes, lifecycle and technical training, support to TAC and product engineering, etc. Assists dealers in developing solutions to meet requirements of all parties while keeping the customer top priority. Supports regional and corporate activities to increase the Isuzu brand. Performs miscellaneous job related duties as assigned.

Bachelors degree in Business, Automotive, or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent directly related work experience. Minimum three years experience working for a domestic manufacturer, import distributor, or new vehicle dealership. Previous experience as an automotive truck technician and/or dealer service and parts operations desirable. Thorough understanding of on-highway vehicle mechanical and electrical principals. Solid knowledge of automotive/truck terminology and operations. Knowledge of modern diesel and gasoline vehicle systems, and dealership fixed operations. Proficient PC skills in Windows applications and with smart communication technology. Very strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills. Ability to be productive and self-motivated. Ability to work independently while meeting objectives and expected results. Outstanding time management skills and marketing strategies. The employee must be able to access, enter, and retrieve data using a computer or smart phone. This is primarily a traveling position in a mobile office environment which requires only occasional reaching, stooping, and lifting of office files, reports or records, typically weighing 25 lbs. or less. Position requires frequent travel, over 75% of time including overnight stays.

Engineer II, CV Engineering (Electrical)

Conducts engineering activities related to product design such as drawing creation, engineering specification reviews, engineering cost estimates, proper development timing, and support testing for appropriate projects. Works on supplier design issues, problem resolutions, engineering reviews, data analysis, potential engineering changes, and manages component timing. Provides engineering assistance to Isuzu related companies and departments as necessary. Evaluates technical content, improves quality, reduces cost, makes effective decisions and meets schedules while considering a range of alternatives. Reports activities and decisions to Sr. Engineer, assigned mentor and/or management for direction and/or approvals. Communicates effectively with ISZJ engineering, suppliers, production facilities, JV partners and other parties based on teamwork concepts. Coordinates with suppliers or other department to achieve established targets on schedule. Analyzes new technologies and trends. Prepares various reports and research findings to management in both the U.S. and in Japan. Maintains and manages assigned projects and related schedules. Assists and consults with other Isuzu departments and companies, sharing technical documentation to support Isuzu's collective objectives. Investigates competitors' vehicles or specific subsystems for competitive engineering research. Prepares presentations for reviews and information sharing. Attends technical events/meetings at GM, ISZJ, JVL, ISZA vendors, and others. Prepares design drawings as necessary and evaluates vendor drawings.

B.S. in Engineering or equivalent experience. Minimum 3 years of experience in automotive product design engineering or equivalent. Development process of automotive parts. Automotive parts knowledge for material selection (metal, plastic, textile), production processes, test methods, regulations, and component/sub-system design development process. Familiar with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) and Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE)/American Standard Test Method (ASTM). CAD/CAM design systems; Siemens NX & TcAE or similar. PC computer system experience and usage; Microsoft Office. Familiarization with simulation software and common diagnostic equipment. Cyber security fundamentals. Advance New Technologies including Electric Vehicle (EV), Electric Vehicle Hybrid (HEV), Autonomous Vehicle, Model Based Design (MBD), and Telematics. Strong analytical skills. Competence in problem solving. Visualization aptitude - ability to sketch, interpret drawings and 3D virtual designs. Skilled in PC based tools, including word processing, spreadsheet and presentation applications. Investigation and search skills - Example: Benchmarking, internet search techniques. Good verbal and written communication skills. The employee must be able to access, enter, and retrieve data using a computer. This is primarily a sedentary position in a controlled office environment which requires only occasional reaching, stooping, and lifting of office files, reports or records, typically weighing 5 lbs. or less. Requires occasional light lifting (5-25 lbs.) and on rare occasions, heavy lifting (60 lbs.). Must be able on rare occasions to bend, crawl, climb, crouch, kneel and reach above shoulder level in the performance of job duties.
